Viking Earrings - Lapis Lazuli

Reclaimed steel guitar strings are varied in length and gauge to achieve balance and a strong shape. Lapis Lazuli focal stone, Thai silver and metal bead accents. 14K gold-filled ear wire. 3 inches long.
 
For me, inspiration can come from buildings, dancers, household objects... but in this case it came directly from another piece of jewelry: a pair of earrings worn by one of the main characters in the show, Vikings. The angular shape and long dangling bars are a nod to the pointed and gem filled earrings she wore as a Queen.
